Kutcho Copper / Zinc / Silver / Gold Project

The Kutcho Project is a high grade copper-zinc-gold-silver underground mine proposal in the advanced development stage. The Project is located approximately 100 km east of the community of Dease Lake and 330 km north of Terrace and Smithers. The project is anticipated to create an estimated 300 positions during construction and up to 230 jobs during operations.


About This Project

The Kutcho Project is owned by Kutcho Copper Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capstone Mining Corp. The Kutcho Project is a proposed high grade copper-zinc-gold-silver underground mine development, located approximately 100 km east of the community of Dease Lake and 330 km north of Smithers in northern British Columbia. The Prefeasibility Study (PFS) released in February 2011 reports the Kutcho Project contains a mineral reserve estimate of 10.4 million tonnes with an average grade of 2.01% copper and 3.19% zinc.   The PFS indicated an expected mine life of 12 years with an average throughput of 2,500 tonnes per day producing separate copper and zinc concentrates. The project is anticipated to create an estimated 300 positions during construction and up to 230 jobs during operations.
